Install latest version of Microsoft Silverlight : microsoft.com
Modify the Windows registry to re-enable them: Registry keys to reenable Flash, Silverlight, and Shockwave in Office 2016
1. Download the EnableControls.zip package from the following website :
2. Double-click the zip package to expand it
3. Double-click the folder EnableControls
4. Double-click the registry file for the control you want to enable: EnableFlash EnableShockwave EnableSilverLight
5. Click Yes to the User Account Control dialog “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device”
6. Click Yes to the warning about Adding information
7. Click OK to the confirmation that the keys and values have been added
